Looking Glass EP

The Birthday Massacre’s third album, Walking With Strangers, further cemented their place in the hearts of fans everywhere, while gaining them countless new ones worldwide. Walking With Strangers is the third studio album by Canadian rock band The Birthday Massacre. The album was released on September 10th, 2007 in North America and September 21st, 2007 in Europe. The album was sold early at a Canadian show on the 5th, the next day high quality torrent versions showed up online.
The song “To Die For” is a reworked and rerecorded version of the track of the same name that appeared on the band’s first album, Nothing and Nowhere, in 2002.

Nothing and Nowhere is a 2002 album by Canadian band The Birthday Massacre. It is their first official studio release. The album was re-released in 2004 with new artwork due to high demand. Original pressings of the release sell for high prices to collectors on eBay. Reworked and rerecorded tracks of “Happy Birthday,” “Horror Show,” “Video Kid,” and “The Dream” appear on their 2004 release Violet, but only the LP version.

A reworked and rerecorded version of “To Die For” later appeared on the band’s 2007 album Walking with Strangers.

Keri Lynn Hilson is an American R&B singer and songwriter signed to Zone 4/Mosley Music Group/Interscope Records. She is part of a collective of writers and producers known as The Clutch. Hilson began songwriting in 2001 and would go on to write tracks for Britney Spears, Ciara, Usher, and Ludacris. Despite having made a name for herself as an arranger and background vocalist, as well as lending her vocal talents to many of the songs she co-wrote, Hilson remained behind the scenes for the most part until 2004, when she was featured on Xzibit’s single, ‘Hey Now ‘ and made her performing debut singing the track live at the 2004 MTV Europe Awards.

‘In A Perfect World’ is the debut album by American singer-songwriter Keri Hilson. The album was originally slated for release in 2007 but was pushed back multiple times into 2009, as Hilson stated herself, mainly due to budget cuts at her record label. The album was finally released on March 24th 2009. The album boasts amazing sounds from a slew of hitmakers like Timbaland, Polow, and Danja. The album features guest appearances by Timbaland, Lil Wayne, Akon, Keyshia Cole, and Ne-Yo. It’s a watershed moment that meets both goals-it sounds and feels great. Speaking up for all the ladies, ‘In A Perfect World’ also looks to empower women to be strong, independent and determined. “No human is exempt from the realities of life- heartbreak, failure, success…” Keri comments. This takes all forms throughout the album which reveals Keri’s ability to translate every day trials and tribulations into engaging music.

Smash is the third studio album by American band The Offspring. Released on April 8, 1994, the album was the band’s last collaboration with record producer Thom Wilson, who produced their last two albums. Smash was very well received by both critics and fans, and was responsible for bringing The Offspring to the attention of a mainstream punk audience.

The album was The Offspring’s first to enter the Billboard 200; the release peaked at number four and topped the Heatseeker’s chart. Smash produced four hit singles for the band: “Come Out and Play”, “Self Esteem”, “Gotta Get Away” and the radio-only single “Bad Habit”. As of 2009, it is credited as the highest selling album by a punk rock band and highest selling independent album of all time selling 16 million copies worldwide, and has continued to sell consistently well in the fifteen years since its release. The album has also been certified 6x Platinum in the United States and 4x Platinum in Australia.

Smash was The Offspring’s last album released on Epitaph Records in North America (although a reissue of their 1989 self-titled debut album completed their contract). Their next album, Ixnay on the Hombre, was released on that label in Europe. On June 17, 2008, Epitaph re-released Smash along with the previous album, Ignition, in a remaster form.

Marrying traditional Celtic melodies and instruments with West African traditional rhythms and modern musical stylings like Highlife and Afro-pop may not seem like the most natural idea. Dir en grey is a Japanese band formed in 1997 and currently signed to Firewall Div., a sub-division of Free-Will. Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones was still licking some serious wounds due to the breakup of his 12-year relationship with his girlfriend and a fallout with a best mate. The band’s 2001 release, Just Enough Education to Perform, briefly touched upon his broken heart; however, Jones’ darkest period came later as the band played countless sold-out gigs across Europe throughout late 2001 and 2002. Jones found himself personally and professionally isolated — emotionally distant from his bandmates and best friends, drummer Stuart Cable and bassist Richard Jones, and creatively exhausted. However the fire that had made this band a major force in the post-grunge English rock scene still burned. Stereophonics’ fourth album, You Gotta Go There to Come Back captures Jones’ soulful journey, and the band’s classic rowdy rock style is as sultry as ever. While their three previous albums exuded ~censored~ just for the sake of being ~censored~, You Gotta Go There to Come Back doesn’t care to be so snide. Sure, the band’s classic swagger remains an integral part of its overall appeal, but moving beyond that silly behavior has somehow affected Jones and his band. Cable became a father during the recording of this album while Richard Jones settled down and got married. Perhaps Jones craves a bit of stability as well? His confidence is on par throughout these 13 blues-rock-tinged songs as his life unfolds through words. “Jealousy” and “You Stole My Money Honey” are the album’s more vexed moments. “Climbing the Wall,” layered in acoustic guitars and horn and string arrangements, and “Nothing Is Precious at All” continue Stereophonics’ psychological sifting with warmth. “Madame Helga” is the punch in the face Jones has been waiting to deliver. Heart-pounding musicianship from the band itself makes this swanky gospel number an album standout and a career staple. It’s a song that Stereophonics have been wanting to make for years, and the overall fierce presentation finds the band at its best. Stereophonics are consistent with their craft, and You Gotta Go There to Come Back highlights the band’s growing talent as musicians, but the fact is that they’ve only made good records up to this point. They have yet to make a really great record, but that’s not to say Stereophonics don’t have what it takes. You Gotta Go There to Come Back is a solid rock effort, and in due time, the band will have its epic.

Straight out of Peoria, Illinois the group Mudvayne formed in 1996 with members Chad Gray (vocals), Gregg Tribbett (guitar), and Mathew McDonough (drums). Ryan Martinie (Bass) replaced the groups original bass two years later. With nicknames in check, Spag (McDonough), Gurrg (Tibbett), Kud (Gray), Ryknow (Martinie), and Garish makeup Mudvayne’s hardcore presence became known after their self released album, Kill, I Oughta.
Shortly after the debut of their first album Mudvayne was signed to Epic Records for a major label release of their album L.D. 50 in 2000. With two million albums sold worldwide recognition for the group could not be denied. The album, going on gold in the U.S., notably lead the group to nab the first ever MTV 2 Video Award at the 2001 VMA’s. While touring show after show Mudvayne splashed across the covers of Rolling Stone, Newsweek, Maxim, Spin, World and many other publications.

In 2002 Mudvayne recorded The End of All Things to Come with Tool producer David Bottrill. Touring heavily in Europe in 2002, to promote the album, the band slipped back on home turf just long enough to join the “Summer Sanitarium” tour with rock royalty such as Metallica and Lincoln Park. The year 2005 brought about the release of the third album Lost and Found.
